Privacy Policy — Jodidaar

Jodidaar ("we", "us", "our"), operated by Maveric Infotech, Pandharpur, Maharashtra, India, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using Jodidaar, you consent to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Mobile number — collected at registration, verified via OTP. Used as your primary identifier.
Email address — optional. Used for subscription confirmations and important account notices.
Profile information — name, date of birth, gender, religion, caste, education, occupation, location, family details, and about-me text that you voluntarily provide.
Photos — profile photos you upload. Stored securely on our servers or AWS S3.
Kundali details — birth date, time, and place if you choose to generate a Kundali match. Coordinates are derived and stored for matching purposes only.
Device & usage data — platform (web/iOS/Android), last active date, and interaction logs for product improvement and analytics.
Payment information — we collect your subscription plan and payment status. Card/UPI details are processed entirely by Razorpay and never stored by us.
Messages — chat messages between matched users are stored to deliver the service and enforce safety policies.

2. How We Use Your Information

To operate and provide the matrimony matchmaking service.
To verify your identity and prevent fraud.
To display your profile to other registered members based on your matching preferences.
To send transactional notifications — interest alerts, match confirmations, subscription updates.
To moderate content and enforce our Terms of Service.
To analyse platform usage and improve features.
To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Information Visibility

Your profile is visible to other registered members of Jodidaar.
Your mobile number is only revealed to Silver and Gold subscribers who you have accepted as a connection.
Your photos are watermarked and blurred for Free-tier viewers; full photos visible to Silver+ members.
You can control your profile visibility (visible to all / members only / hidden) from Settings.

4. Data Sharing

Razorpay — for payment processing. Governed by Razorpay's Privacy Policy.
Firebase (Google) — for phone authentication and push notifications.
MSG91 / Twilio — for SMS OTP delivery.
AWS S3 — for photo storage (if enabled by admin).
Law enforcement — we may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users.
We do not share your profile, photos, or personal details with advertisers or data brokers.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active.
If you deactivate your account, your profile is hidden immediately. Data is retained for 90 days before permanent deletion, to allow account recovery.
Subscription records are retained for 7 years for tax and audit compliance.
Chat messages are retained for 1 year after the associated connection is ended.

6. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+).
Sensitive fields are hashed or encrypted in the database.
Photo uploads are stored in private storage by default; only Jodidaar-authorised URLs serve them.
We conduct periodic security reviews. However, no internet service is 100% secure.

7. Cookies

We use session cookies to keep you logged in.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) may be used to understand usage patterns. You can opt out via your browser settings.
We do not use tracking cookies for advertising.

8. Your Rights

Access — you can view your profile information at any time.
Correction — you can edit your profile details from your account settings.
Deletion — you can request deletion of your account and data by deactivating your account or emailing privacy@jodidaar.com.
Portability — you may request a copy of your personal data by contacting us.
We will respond to verified requests within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

Jodidaar is not intended for persons under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware of such data, it will be deleted immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification.
Your continued use of Jodidaar after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
